TOP 5 HANGOVER CURES FOR NEW YEARS DAY

The majority of us will be feeling slightly worse for wear tomorrow morning, so here are my top 5 hangover cures to help ease the pain...

1. Alka-Seltzer

Every student should have these, and if you don't.. make sure you get some! This should settle your stomach that is sure to be filled with a cocktail of fluids from NYE.

2. Greasy breakfast

When you can finally muster the strength to get out of bed, pop down to your local greasy spoon and get a fry up inside you. This will not only fill you up, but will give you all a chance to remember the embarrassing moments from the night before.

3. Water

All that booze from the night before will leave you feeling dehydrated, so make sure you drink water all day to re-hydrate the body.

4. Sleep/Rest

It's what students do best, so if you are able to have a nap then do! You'll feel a lot better afterwards

5. HAIR OF THE DOG

The last thing you will want to do is drink more booze... but you're a student. Get back on the drink and have another good night.

Have a great New Years Eve, hopefully these tips help your recovery!

Usually leave your room unlocked? Think Again.

In an ideal world, you could pull pranks without comeuppance, but we all know that’s not how university life works.

Most of us have been involved in, or been the victim of minor pranks at university… but few of us have had the patience/brilliance to pull off a prank to this extreme.

Residents of Brunswick house, Cambridge, made the holy grail of The LAD bible for this superb effort; after their roommate went home for a whole weekend, unaware of what was happening in her room. This masterpiece of a prank took 4 people a total of 6 hours to complete, using over 21 metres of tin foil. This was no quick job, with every single item in the room being lovingly wrapped by the residents, including a Playstation controller, a drying rack and a desk chair.

The owner of this now ‘re-decorated’ room returned from the trip back home to find this, and not only did she take it all in good jest, she left it as it was for a month after!

So if you like your room the way it is… ensure you ALWAYS lock it!
You have been warned.
